Girth Loinhammer’s Most Exponential Adventure

Girth Loinhammer’s Most Exponential Adventure is a massively interactive fantasy parody soon to be published by Aperture Editions as an illustrated gamebook in both English and Spanish. The full book will be available mid-2018, but if you’d like a sneak peek there’s a demo available online!

The story follows Girth Loinhammer, a “Dungeon Lord” who has tried to establish himself as a generic villain in a trap-filled underground lair. However, instead of attracting heroes for him to capture and torment, the dungeon becomes overrun with BDSM enthusiasts. The whole situation makes Girth very uncomfortable indeed, and most storylines follow some kind of attempt to remedy it, whether that’s by converting the dungeon into something else, or abandoning it to pursue another interest entirely. The adventures themselves frequently parody popular fantasy stories and usually end in disaster. Every passage offers two choices as to how the story should continue, each of which offers two further choices, and so on, ultimately leading to a whopping 512 alternate endings.

Here are a few screenshots of the text itself, as well as the fairly enormous flowchart:
